About - Team Kshatriya International

Team Kshatriya International, is a team comprising of enthusiastic 2nd, 3rd and 4th year B.Tech students belonging to the School of Mechanical and Building Sciences of VIT University. Now, you might wonder what the word “Kshatriya” has got to do with a Racing team? Well, “Kshatriya” translates to “Warrior” in Sanskrit and we try our best to infuse a ‘never-give-up’ “warrior” spirit among our team members! And living up to the expectations, our team has been has been faring quite well in the past events. On a more serious note, we do operate in a very methodical manner and are highly organized. Every year, new members are recruited through a test on practical and technical skills, followed by an interview by the seniors and faculty. Hence, the team consists of experienced seniors as well as fresh talent, supervised by expert faculty. This year we have set our aim on the 2012 SAE Baja USA event, at Wisconsin USA, representing VIT University and also our country. And hopefully, we'll again make them proud.

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) founded in 1905 is an international engineering society established to âfurther develop mobility on land, in air, and in space." SAE also sponsors many educational international competition programs including the the Mini Baja Series competitions.These competitions take place at different locations throughout the world, and teams from any country may take part in any event.
